Blue Cross Freedom Blue PPO
offers an affordable and flexible health plan option for Medicare
eligible individuals in California. The plan provides benefits
for medically necessary:
- Doctor Office Visits (No
Deductible)
- Impatient Hospital
Services
- Emergency Care
Services
- Ambulance Services
- Durable Medical
Equipment
- Diagnostic Tests, Including
X-rays and Laboratory Services
Freedom Blue
also provides coverage for the following routine services that
are not covered by original medicare:
- Physical Exams (No
Deductible)
- Vision Services, Including
Eyewear
- Hearing Services, Including
Hearing Aids
Freedom Blue includes all of
that plus Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
Open enrollment begins Nov. 15th for the 2008 plan year. The
monthly premium for Plan I (with a $1125 deductible) is $0. Plan
II features a lower deductible (a $600 deductible), with monthly
plan premium of just $50. (You continue to pay your Medicare Part
B premium no matter which plan you choose.)
